Chicken or Beef?

Chicken or Beef? Tales of an Air Steward

"CHICKEN OR BEEF?" — the perennial question of airline cabin crew in the 1970s and 1980s as they serve meals to travellers. And, of course, those travellers may be afraid of flying (chicken), or have a complaint to make (beef)!

Hence the title of Jim Barham's entertaining collection of tales from around the world, the experiences he gathered as an international airline steward.

As well as being available in print format, "CHICKEN OR BEEF?" is offered as an audio file - an .mp3 which will play in any standard audio software. The recording has been voiced by experienced professional broadcaster and voice artist Rowland Myers, whose voice is clear and pleasant to listen to, but never intrusive, allowing Jim Barham's text to speak for itself and presenting it in the best possible way for your listening pleasure.

You can listen to a sample of the book - in fact, it is the introduction - on this page. It is an .mp3 file, 2837KB in size, which you can either play by clicking it, or download to your own computer by right-clicking and selecting "Save As", "Save Target As" etc. depending on your browser's specific terminology.
